Artist's Statement
My sculpture in the recent is like a moving musical
composition, of reality, about space and time.
I do not just create figure, I write a quick prose,
taming the sequence with colours. I paint this prose
and the music, thus, formed-all things flux. |

Ayo Aina was
born August 12, 1969. He holds a master's degree in
painting from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria,
Nigeria. Ayo has participated in several exhibitions
in Nigeria and abroad. He has also participated in
art workshops. He can be contacted at ayoaina2g3@yahoo.com
Artist's Statement
I try to create my art out of anything, I enjoy the
uncertainty and anxiety that come with that. I work
in ordinary and familiar terrain. I seek to respond
deeply both to conventional and non conventional
materials. In my painting I create holes and spaces
that expose surfaces that accommodate them. I
believe that by making such surfaces part of my work
the paintings dwell better in the environment. It is
said, 'the best way to kill a painting is to hang
it. |
