History
The name, Aftershave, was adapted from the Shave Workshop based in England. The history of our workshops started in 1997 with our collaboration with Robert Loder CBE, a renowned British art promoter. Robert, through the Triangle Arts Trust, has successfully helped to set up international artists workshops in different parts of the world. To date, we have held three workshops in 1999, 2003 and 2008.

Concept
Two weeks away from home and studio, among equals of diverse backgrounds and disposition; nothing to be predicted except the challenge and freedom to produce art work, ephemeral or tangible, basic or sophisticated, that capture the experience of the moment.

Objectives
To bring together artists from diverse backgrounds to share personal and cultural experiences for the growth of universal understanding and tolerance. To encourage a process of network through which Nigerian artists can benefit from further collaboration with fellow artists abroad.
