FIDELIS M. NABUKENYA
UGANDA
FIDELIS NABUKENYA MATOVU from Uganda, delighted everyone with her warm crowds of elongated figures gathering for wedding festivities, and she exploded with huge force on the first day , inspiring fellow artists. Fidelis came out as pace setter of the workshop, mesmerized by the Eagles Rest view, her style of painting was strong until after days satisfying her desire, she diverted into landscape studies , of Lake Kariba 's inspirational scenery ( a testimony of many artists who have visited Eagles Rest before ). She went on further to do a collaborative performance entitled evolution with two Zambian artists Mwiche and Karen, it took about four artistic hours from morning through late lunch to shoot, it was divided in two parts, traditional transformation to western behaviors and characteristics.
