ZAMBIA
MWICHE NAMBEYE is one of the up - coming talented Zambian female artist, as her first time to attend an international workshop , she appreciated it as the most exciting experience, she heard people say that 'by the time she goes home after the workshop she will be mad'. She responded "if madness comes from art then I don't care". Mwiche's courageous adventure began with a soldier moth that inspired her to come up with a series of small black papers ( 10 x 7 cm ) covered with fine sand leaving a an oval space in the middle wher she pasted the moth. This followed suit with other small creatures like dead snake, lizard, fish, try to paste them on. She also painted a huge canvas as her first time experience, depicting a nude couple in sitting facing each other , inspired by the romantic setting of Eagles Rest.
