								SYLVIA won her Ngoma Awards Best Female category last year and this was her long standing development that has come from the 'Imiti Ikula' school and now she is heading the Women In Visual Arts Association WIVAA. She likes to depict children in their innocent composition, cultural values for African women and moments you rarely think of day to day moments of lives, all done in a style of playing playfully with paint loosely while being realistic with figures to fascinating proportion. She addresses issues dear to her feelings, like the woman with shells around her waist, her figure sinking in the abstracted background colour while maintaining her realistic facial features.
