Lutanda Mwamba

An inter displinary artist who has specailised in working across the entire width and breadth of fine arts in Zambia. Noteable work has been in printmaking, painting and sculpture. In the last few years Lutanda has become the prophet of the avant garde arts in zambia with works such as "metamorphosis", "the mask" "and a name to remember" he continues his obssesion and exploration of questions of identity. In a spirit of helping others, Lutanda is one of the few senior artists in Zambia who is actively involved in nurturing young artists. He is also the founder of Rockston Studio, he has also served on the committees of various arts organisations such as Visual Arts Council and Mbile(Insaka) International Artists Workshop.
