Irene Ngahu

A designer artist and teacher. Works with oils, water color and other media.

Ngahu's work is dominated by woman, driven to mania by pressures around her. She explodes, spewing doves and flowers and color. Her work depicts how women are often driven to near destruction by their struggles to impose positive values in their communities. The woman seems to burst out of her artificially constructed (cosmetics) persona.
