pARTage Newsletter
1st issue 2008
Welcome to this first issue of pARTage newsletter for 2008.
We hope the New Year 2008 has started very well for all of you. As for us it has started on a very good note. We are delighted to inform you that pARTage has been awarded the prestigious “TROCHETIA 2007”, a yearly award by “Le Mauricien”, one of the most respected and widely read publication in Mauritius. Click here for more details: http://www.artshost.org/partage/abtusawards.html.
While we are confident about the meaningfulness of our contribution to the local cultural landscape, we often feel that our work goes unnoticed. This award brings us immense pride and invigorates our faith in our mission to promote art in Mauritius.
We believe that this award is not just for pARTage but it goes to all the artists’ community of Mauritius.
We would like to thank all those who have always supported us in our endeavor: The Triangle family, Ford Foundation, The Comission de l`Ocean Indien, the European Union, the Centre Culturel Charles Baudelaire, the Mahatma Gandhi Institute, just to mention a few.
We are bringing you fresh news on forthcoming artistic events on the local art scene and opportunities across the globe. We hope you will make the most of the information that we send to you. We thank you for all your encouragements, support and suggestions.

Actually, an Embryo is an ongoing phenomenal process in the reproduction of various lives on the planet whether through natural or artificial means. Our workshop encourages artists from all corners of the world to exploit this special experience revisiting their fantasy on the particular question and the feeling of being on the soil of the original home of humankind, Ethiopia.
