Rudolph Tshie (South Africa): ‘Am an oil painter also work with other media, my work represents people in rural and township settings and my aim is to capture the spirit of place and the culture of  togetherness. I spent much time teaching art to children and street children represented at workshops around the country. I endeavor to get art lovers talking and buying the work of art with thorough understanding its value and meaning.’ <tshie69@yahoo.com>

Seif Soud Ali (Zanzibar): ‘In my opinion we have two kinds of art, the natural and artificial art. All artists deal with artificial art. If one says “this is my art” it means artificial art. Artists are influenced by nature, mountains, trees, flowers, human forms, portraits, etc… As artist, I deal with contrasting themes of daily life in the world, especially problems of the third world countries: our suffering from poverty, hunger, war and diseases. Influenced by the impressionists, my work shows bold brush strokes.’ <mgudisho@yahoo.com>

Thisath Thoradeniya (Sri-Lanka): ‘In my works, I try to bring out my own symbols to depict gender…’ <thisath77@hotmail.com>
