Tulipamwe means "we are together" and is an independently funded artists project coordinated by the Tulipamwe Arts Trust in Namibia.

The trust is organized under the auspices of the Visual & Performing Arts Department of the University of Namibia and is affiliated to the Triangle Network of Workshops initiated by Sir Robert Lauder.

Tulipamwe 2010


Tulipamwe International Artists’ Workshops will be held at 18 month intervals in future. Therefore the next workshop of this nature will be held in May 2011. (Please check this space for further information and application procedure).

The following events are being planned for 2010:

12 April – 12 May 2010: Tulipamwe Professional Artist’s Residency: Professional, self-reliant, dynamic artists who work in any traditional or new visual arts media…. (For information and application procedure, refer to PDF)

Tulipamwe 2009

Tulipamwe International Artists’ Workshop 2009 was held from 15 to 29 August in Okakarara, an indigenous rural village in the historical Waterberg region in Namibia.

Tulipamwe International Artists’ Exhibition 2009 was held from 1 to 30 September at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre and the Goethe-Zentrum Galleries.
