Dias Machate b. 1958 Sculptor & lecturer Studied Civil Engineering at Industrial School in Maputo, Mozambique Trained as a teacher in Maputo. 1983 to 1989: Studied sculpture at the Hochschule für Bildende Kunst, Dresden, Germany. 1989 to 1995: Teaching at Escola Nacional de Artes Visuais. 1994 Participated in Tulipamwe Namibia. 1996 to present: Lecturer in ceramics and sculpture at the University of Namibia.
