Facilitators are selected from amongst the international participants on the basis of specialised skills or a significant contribution which can be made in terms of training of young artists.

Community workshops are intended for artists who have not had the opportunity to work alongside artists from the region or abroad. These workshops also serve to identify and prepare local artists for possible inclusion in the International Workshop.

Community workshops have been offered in printmaking, painting, drawing, metal and wood sculpture, textiles and ceramics.
