Tulipamwe means "we are together" and is an independently funded artists project coordinated by the Tulipamwe Arts Trust in Namibia. The trust is organized under the auspices of the Visual & Performing Arts Department of the University of Namibia and is affiliated to the Triangle Network of Workshops initiated by Sir Robert Lauder.

Tulipamwe 2009


Tulipamwe 2009 will be held from Saturday, 15 August to Saturday, 29 August 2009. As with Tulipamwe 2008, the workshop will take place in a rural community, venue to be announced!

Tulipamwe 2008

The recent Tulipamwe Community Empowerment Workshop was held from 16 - 30 August 2008 in Okombahe; a remote, rural village situated 300 km North West of Windhoek on the banks of the Omaruru river.

Tulipamwe's aim for the artists' workshop was twofold: while creating an invigorating artistic environment for Namibian artists to share creative skills with each other and with international artists, it also wished a disadvantaged community to benefit from the project...
