Golden House, Wood, Glitter, Fabric
The golden house was built in a desert landscape overlooking a main
road. It was inspired by similar structures in the neighbouring areas.
It hovers between the fantastic and the actual, as a viable living
space and an object of irreconcilable desire.
The barren landscape is violated by the golden structure, yet it is
only through it that it can approach the monumental. An expression
of value is forced upon a sparse environment. The road provides the
promise of an ambiguous audience and the pleasure of being seen and
re-seen. |
